Chengyang (Damien) Zhang

Biography

Chengyang Zhang is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Political Science, studying international relations and security studies. His research interests focus on foreign/security policy decision-making, the nexus between domestic politics and diplomacy, and authoritarian politics. He is a recipient of the Presidential Fellowship at MIT.

Before coming to MIT, Chengyang graduated from Peking University with a B.A. in International Politics, and from Stanford University with an M.A. in East Asian Studies. He also worked at the Institute for International and Strategic Studies, Peking University as a research assistant.
